MY STORY

Why Do I Create Art?

I have always had a passion for fine arts ever since I can remember. Fine arts has led me to creating my own small business, becoming a content creator online on multiple platforms, and also in a way healing me in health. I am currently in University and I intend to finish my Bachelors in Fine Arts.

I want to focus on illustration because I love expressing emotions and storytelling. I enjoy evoking emotions from my art into other individuals' lives. I enjoy every challenge I can take, especially when it comes to art. I have created art using charcoal, watercolors, acrylic paints, graphite, gouache, collage, markers, and so much more.

Art helps me express my emotions, thoughts, and overall my life as a whole. Sometimes words do not express everything within a person, that is why I believe art exists. When it comes to my personal life, health has also been a major focus. My health has really affected me throughout my life, ever since the age of 12 I was challenged with symptoms of inflammatory bowel syndrome. Unexpectedly, during my first year of attending the University, I required emergency medical attention. This traumatic event impacted my health greatly, and continues to affect me currently. Health at times is very abrupt, that is why time has been of huge importance to me.

Because of art, I am able to express who I am, negative or positive experiences I have been through. If my art brings joy to someone, that is what makes me happy and inspires me to continue going. I am forever grateful to my family, friends, and many others who have supported me online through my social media platforms.

The Lord has blessed me thus far in my life, I want to pay it forward with sharing my knowledge and art with others.
